Privacy Policy

This notice adds to the benjiapps Privacy Policy, which covers your benjiapps account and payments for all benjiapps apps.

This policy explains what HappySpace (a benjiapps product) collects, why, who it's shared with, and your choices. It covers the HappySpace website, web app and Android app.

What we collect

• Account: your benjiapps account's email address and account ID (and name, if you add one). Sign-in is provided by Clerk.
• Photos you upload: we store a resized copy of each photo. Before storing, we remove embedded photo metadata such as GPS location, camera details and timestamps.
• Listings: the AI-written drafts, your answers to HappySpace's questions, your edits, and where you've marked a listing as posted (including links you paste).
• Settings: the ZIP code you ship from and your shipping, returns and listing preferences.
• eBay connection: if you connect eBay, your eBay user ID, username and the access tokens eBay issues to HappySpace. Tokens are stored encrypted. We never see your eBay password.
• Billing: your subscription status and billing dates. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never receive them.
• Usage and logs: how many listings you've generated, AI usage for cost and abuse limits, and standard server logs (such as IP address and request times) kept for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

Only to provide HappySpace: writing and storing your listings, posting to eBay when you ask, enforcing plan limits, billing, preventing abuse, and answering your support requests. We don't sell your personal information, we don't use your photos or listings for advertising, and we don't use them to train AI models.

Who we share it with

• OpenAI — your photos, your answers and listing text are sent to OpenAI's API to write and update listings. OpenAI states that data sent through its API is not used to train its models by default.
• eBay — when you post to eBay, the listing text and photos are sent to eBay under your eBay account.
• Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments), and our hosting providers (Hetzner servers, with traffic passing through Amazon Web Services) process data on our behalf to run the service.
• Other marketplaces receive only what you paste into them yourself.
• We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and the service.

How long we keep it

Listings and photos stay until you delete them (one listing at a time, or everything at once in Settings → Delete all my HappySpace data). eBay tokens are deleted when you disconnect eBay, when your eBay connection expires, or when eBay notifies us that you closed your eBay account. We keep billing records and anonymous usage totals as needed for accounting. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security.

Your choices and rights

• Edit or delete any listing, and delete all your HappySpace data, in the app.
• Disconnect eBay in Settings, or revoke HappySpace's access from your eBay account.
• Manage or delete your benjiapps account from “Manage benjiapps account” in Settings, or follow benjiapps.com/delete-account.
• To access, correct or delete personal information, or for any privacy question, email hello@benjiapps.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law; we'll honor them.

Security

Connections use HTTPS, eBay tokens are encrypted at rest, photo links are private and expire, and HappySpace runs under its own isolated server account. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong sign-in.

Children

HappySpace is not for children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
